How much checked baggage can I book?
You can pre-book checked baggage in weight options that depend on your flight type:
- International flights: 20 kg, 30 kg, or 40 kg (up to 2 pieces per passenger). If split into two bags, each bag must not exceed 32 kg.
- Domestic flights: 23 kg, 30 kg, or 46 kg (up to 2 pieces per passenger). If split into two bags, each bag must not exceed 32 kg.
- Availability and fees can vary by route.
Can I buy checked baggage at the airport?
Yes, but only limited weight options may be available at the airport, and prices are typically higher. For better value, pre-book online, via the call center, or at a sales office.
What is the maximum size and weight for each checked bag?
Each checked bag must not exceed 32 kg and 158 cm (62 inches) in total dimensions (length + width + height).
Are there any restrictions on the type of baggage I can check in?
Yes. Carton boxes are not allowed as checked baggage on flights to Bangladesh (effective August 1, 2023). Also, irregular-shaped baggage that cannot be safely transported may not be accepted.
